Delicious filling breakfast at an affordable price! Sunny Street Cafe serves arguably the best breakfast in Carbondale! While there we ordered the Stuffed Biscuits and Gravy as well as the Cinnamon Roll Pancakes. The B&G were good but the Cinnamon Roll Pancakes stole the show. While high in calories they were delicious. Some of the best pancakes I've ever had. The waitress was extremely friendly and gave us some recommendations on the local area to visit. Parking was plenty and easy to find! I would definitely visit again if I were in the area!
By far my favorite spot for brunch in Carbondale! They have a great selection of food and the service is excellent. I've had multiple items on their menu, and none have disappointed! I highly recommend the sunny skillet and chicken and waffles (the two items pictured). You also can't go wrong with their stuffed biscuits and gravy.
There’s service, then there is service by Sophia at Sunny Street Cafe in Carbondale. I dine out a lot. I see service all across the spectrum, but in my opinion Sophia leads the way. What else, most of the staff here is in my top rankings for service provided. I appreciate how friendly they are and how welcoming this crew makes us feel. They say unique things to us, which makes us feel special and remembered. They smile, but nothing forced. they tend to our needs ideally. That’s just the front of the house though. Each meal I’ve ordered, has been yummy. I’ve had the (I may get these names wrong but let’s see) sunnys skillet (😻 so good,) I’ve had cinnamon roll pancakes, I’ve tasted some delicious salad my precious wife ordered, ... the folks in the back are making it happen. I’d go more if I didn’t want to be the weird regular.

I have wanted to try this place for quite some time. I'm so happy that I finally got to eat here. My daughter and I came here on January 2nd 2026 around 11 AM. Our server was amazing, I can't remember their name. My daughter had pancakes and she loved them. I had the Bja omelette and I loved it. I can't wait to come back, I'll bring my husband next time. I really loved what was on the breakfast menu. I have stomach issues, and I am diabetic, so the menu was beneficial for me.
Great food. Fast service. A great dinner serving breakfast and lunch menus from 6:30 to 2:30 most days. Eggs any style, French Toast pancakes, and Blueberry pancakes are great. Chicken salad is light and tasty. Outdoor seating. Great for families and groups. Not crowded. Accepts credit catds. Sunny the Pancake may visit your table. See lots of photos...
We are visiting from out of town for a wedding and decided on this place because it’s open at 7 am. I think those were the best egg Benedict’s I’ve ever had! I ate them too fast to take a picture. My boyfriend order the cinnamon roll pancakes (pictured) and those were great too! Cute, clean, breakfast place!
Very pricey! 5 of us and our bill was $120! No complaints on the food - very good!! No complaints on the service - our server Wren was fantastic!! I highly recommend, just realize you’re going to pay a bit more!
This photo says it all! The food is awesome! It is all "Clean your plate" worthy delicious. We arrived about 10:30am on a Sunday morning right before a huge rush. Only took about 10 minutes for a seat. We ordered two of the Famous Hearty Breakfasts and also a Denver Omelet. The food came out pretty quickly even though the place was obviously super busy. It was all perfect, hot and delicious. The service was attentive and friendly. Our server always had a smile for us even though she was super busy and running everywhere. The price was reasonable and the food was just the right amount. Thank you for a great breakfast experience! We'll be back for sure.
Friendly and welcoming staff. Spoiled for choice on juices and toast. I got the veggie omlette with hashbrowns and white bread toast. Travel buddy got Avocado Benedict with a side of fruit. All the food was delicious. Would absolutely love to come back here, and hope to get another chance to.
